Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
408 PM EST Sun Nov 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...Departing high pressure keeps mostly clear skies
and light winds over eastern Kentucky tonight, allowing for the
formation of a sharp ridge-valley temperature split. Rain chances
rise on Monday and peak early Monday night with the passage of a
cold front. The probability of at least 0.25 inch of rain ranges
from 20 to 50 percent. Another brief period of dry weather follows
for Tuesday and Wednesday before another low pressure system is
forecast to bring a soaking rainfall on Thanksgiving Day. Behind
that system, a cooling trend towards well below normal
temperatures appears increasingly probable heading into early
December.
