...The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kentucky...

  Red River at Clay City affecting Estill and Powell Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued late tonight at 1230 AM EST.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...
...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD ADVISORY...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River at Clay City.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Low lying areas flood. Maple street near
  the Red River Ranch as well as Pompeii Road off of Highway 15 are
  impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM EST Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon and rise to a crest around 17.6 feet. It will
    then fall below flood stage this evening.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.5 feet on 03/27/1965.
