The National Weather Service in Jackson has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Laurel County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 200 AM EDT.

* At 1150 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lesbas, Levi Jackson S.P., Tuttle, Lida, Cane Creek, Fariston,
  London-Corbin Airport and Brock.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Little Laurel River, Billies Branch, Little Sandy Creek, Sampson
  Branch, Laurel River, Little Robinson Creek, Blackwater Creek,
  Hazel Fork, Robinson Creek and Little Goose Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
