...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
  McCreary and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Clay, Floyd,
  Harlan, Knott, Knox, Leslie, Letcher, Perry and Pike.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks,
  streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
    today. While most areas should receive one half to one inch
    of rainfall, locations affected by the most persistent
    showers and thunderstorms could receive upwards of 3 inches
    of rainfall.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continue to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
