...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY ACROSS INLAND NORTHEAST FLORIDA
AND INLAND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA DUE TO CRITICALLY LOW HUMIDITY AND
ONGOING DROUGHT...

A very dry airmass remains today over inland areas of Northeast FL
and Southeast GA with critically low relative humidity values
below 30 percent along and just south of I-10 into the Suwannee
Valley and below 25 percent west of US highway 301 in Southeast GA
for 4 or more hours this afternoon. Light southeast winds of 4-8
mph over inland Southeast GA and 8-12 mph over inland Northeast FL
along with dry fuels will support elevated fire danger conditions.

Practice Wildfire safety and avoid activities with open flames or
sparks. Obey local burn bans. If you see a wildfire, first walk
or drive away from it, then call 911.
