...NOAA Weather Radios off the air from May 5th through May 7th...

From Monday, May 5th through Wednesday, May 7th, our office will
be conducting a required update to the Advanced Weather
Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), our main work system at NWS
Jacksonville. During this upgrade, no interruptions are expected to
our core services, including forecast products and weather watches,
warnings, and advisories. However, please note the following
temporary service impacts:

All of the NOAA Weather Radio transmitters serving Northeast Florida
and Southeast Georgia, maintained by NWS Jacksonville, will be
offline during the upgrade period:

KHB-39 (Jacksonville)

WXJ-60 (Gainesville)

WWF-85 (Marion County)

KEB-97 (Lake City)

WXK-75 (Waycross)

WWH-39 (Brunswick)

WXJ-28 (Jesup)

WNG-522 (Palatka)

Always have more than one way to receive weather alerts.
We apologize for any inconvenience the radio outage may cause.

The forecast recording line (904-741-4370) will also be temporarily
unavailable. Some graphical forecast maps and climate text products
may not update during this time. Please rest assured that our
office will remain open and fully staffed throughout the upgrade.

If you need to speak with a forecaster, we encourage you to reach
out via NWSCHAT or call 904-741-4370 extension 1.
