The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... At 928 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Guana River State Park, or 10 nm north of Saint Augustine. The thunderstorm was nearly stationary. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs, move your boat away from it.
