Please contact our office at (904) 741-4370 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. ...ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON... .DISCUSSION...An active period of afternoon thunderstorms is expected on Independence Day as the Atlantic Sea breeze merges with the Gulf in the vicinity of the I-95 corridor. A few strong may be strong and capable of gusty winds up to 50 mph and significant downpours that may lead to flooding. The peak of the storm activity is likely between 4 PM and 8 PM with showers lingering through 9 or 10 PM. It will be warm and humid, pushing the "feels like" temperature toward the upper 90s by the early evening. Winds will favor a southwest direction but become variable at times during the evening; speeds should be under 10 mph outside of thunderstorm influences. .REST OF TODAY...
