Dry weather will prevail through early Sunday afternoon at the wildfire site. Only isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible during the mid-afternoon hours on Sunday, with dry conditions most likely prevailing through Sunday night. Southerly surface and transport winds this evening will shift to southwesterly towards midnight and then westerly towards sunrise on Sunday. Westerly surface and transport winds will prevail through the late afternoon hours on Sunday, with speeds increasing to around 10 mph during the late morning hours. Surface winds will likely briefly shift to southeasterly during the late afternoon hours through sunset as the Atlantic sea breeze boundary pushes westward across the area. Elevated mixing heights on Sunday will create marginally high daytime dispersion values. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase at the wildfire site on Monday, with at least scattered thunderstorms expected by Monday afternoon. Strong to isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible on Monday afternoon and evening. Westerly surface and transport winds will prevail, with elevated mixing heights creating high daytime dispersion values on Monday afternoon.
