Saturday, strengthening low pressure over the Georgia coastal waters will bring breezy westerly winds 15-25 mph with gusts to 30-35 mph from morning into afternoon hours with a low chance of showers towards sunset. Windy conditions arrive Saturday evening as the low strengthens further and strong high pressure builds to the northwest with winds becoming northwesterly 20-30 mph and gusting to 35-45 mph. Colder air arriving after sunset will bring isolated brief show showers or flurries before ending by midnight, but not expecting snow accumulations. With temperatures falling quickly below freezing Saturday night as skies clear there will be a potential for patchy black ice from earlier light showers, especially on bridges and elevated surfaces, however any precipitation totals (rain or snow) will be very light. Very cold temperatures and wind chills will push into the region with lows falling into the low 20s and wind chills lowering to 5-10 degrees. Winds from the northwest will remain breezy 15-25 mph with gusts to 30 mph as temperatures struggle to reach the low 40s Sunday afternoon despite sunny skies due to the arctic airmass as high pressure builds from the west. .SATURDAY...
