The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Marion County in northern Florida...

* Until 1030 PM EDT.

* At 948 PM EDT, emergency management reported reported considerable
  street flooding in the Ocala area with roads impassable for low
  clearance vehicles. Most roads in downtown Ocala have been blocked
  due to flooding. One vehicle was stalled in floodwaters.  Between
  2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up
  to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ocala.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
