225 PM EDT Thu Sep 10 2026

.SYNOPSIS...

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to impact mainly the near
shore coastal waters through the early evening hours tonight.
Otherwise, Atlantic high pressure centered near Bermuda this
afternoon will shift southward while gradually weakening on Friday
as a frontal boundary shifts towards the southeastern states. This
front will stall and weaken well to the north of our local waters
this weekend. Prevailing winds will become southwesterly from Friday
through the upcoming weekend, with the afternoon sea breeze shifting
winds to southeasterly each afternoon across the near shore waters.
Showers and thunderstorms developing over coastal locations during
the afternoon hours will shift eastward across our local waters
during the late afternoon and evening hours from Friday through the
upcoming weekend. High pressure will then build down the
southeastern seaboard early next week, with onshore winds forecast
to develop by Monday afternoon, with breezy conditions and building
seas forecast towards Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
