Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
1238 PM CDT Fri Oct 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Quiet conditions will overall persist across the area as we move
into the weekend. Afternoon minimum relative humidity values will
continue to linger near critical thresholds into Saturday. This
combined with overall continued dry soil conditions could result
in some fire danger concerns. Wind should remain light enough in
most areas to prevent widespread fire issues, but this will
continue to be monitored over the next few days. Fog is not
expected to be a significant concern. Sunday, chances for
isolated to scattered showers will return over South Mississippi
and Central Louisiana, with chances across all of the area in the
following days.
