Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
351 AM CDT Thu Jul 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...Patchy fog will be possible this morning and
Friday morning. A low pressure center will track west along the
Gulf coast through Friday and result in increasing rain chances
mainly across the southern districts beginning today and
continuing into Saturday. High pressure surface and aloft will
strengthen back over the region later this weekend and the early
part of next week. Heat and humidity will remain a concern over
the northwest portions of the area today but higher heat and
humidity are expected over the whole area early next week.
