Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
352 AM CDT Wed Aug 20 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy fog will be possible this morning and Thursday morning,
but widespread or dense fog is not anticipated. It will be hot
and humid again today, but a weak cold front will move into the
region tonight into Thursday. This will result in greater rain
chances this afternoon and early evening and again on Thursday
mainly south of I-20. Meanwhile, it will be slightly drier with
lowering rain chances north of I-20. With high humidity today and
increasing rain chances, no fire weather issues are anticipated.
