Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
229 PM CST Thu Nov 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire danger is not expected given moist soils. Winds will shift
from the northwest to the south early Saturday and will usher in
greater moisture. A stalled front over the area will keep rain
chances throughout the week. Winds Monday will be gusty, from the
south/southwest around 30mph. Later in the week, around
Thanksgiving, more rain and storms are possible. We are not
anticipating fog development, but patchy frost is possible tonight
and tomorrow night with temperatures near freezing./SAS/
