Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
348 AM CDT Thu Apr 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...Warm, humid, and windy conditions will prevail
across southeast AR, northeast LA, and northwest MS districts
today along with a threat of thunderstorms. Some of these storms
could be severe. Widespread storms will be possible across our
forecast Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Rain chances
will start to decrease from the northwest on Sunday as the cold
front exits the area with a few lingering showers and t-storms
across southeast MS. Southerly winds will be gusty at times over
the next few days before shifting to the north on late Sunday
evening. Fog is not anticipated at this time.
