Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
217 PM CDT Wed Oct 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...Quiet conditions will exist across the area into
this weekend. Some slightly drier air advecting into the region
late this week will bring about some lower afternoon minimum
relative humidity values Thursday into Friday (35-45%).
This,in addition to the overall continued dry soil conditions,
and possible increasing winds during this time, could potentially
result in some fire danger concern. This will continue to be
monitored in later forecasts. Fog is not expected to be a
significant concern, but some early morning patchy ground
fog will be possible. Sunday into Tuesday, some better rain
chances will exist across the region.
