Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
422 AM CDT Sat Oct 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...Warm dry conditions will persist across the area
through the weekend. Afternoon minimum relative humidity values
will continue to linger between 30-40%, but they`ll increase to
between 40-50% Sunday as moisture subtly begins increasing across
the region. Despite the relatively low humidity values today,
easterly winds are expected to remain light enough in most areas
to prevent any widespread fire issues, but this will continue to
be monitored. After this weekend, chances for isolated to scattered
showers will return through mid-week, with a cold front expected
to drop south through the region Wednesday. Fog development is
not expected to be a significant concern this morning, nor Sunday
morning.
