Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
206 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...
No Significant fog development is expected Monday or Tuesday
mornings. A shortwave trough over the region today will help
support a dry cold front that will move through the area tonight
and Monday. Upper level troughing will deepen over the region
Monday and continue to be dominant through next week. This upper
level troughing and dry cold front will begin a trend to cooler
than normal temperatures by mid week. Dry weather is expected
until low rain chances return to the northern districts Tuesday.
Wednesday will be dry but rain chances return to the north
Thursday and then expand across the whole area Friday.
