Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
132 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Dry weather will prevail through most of this week. Afternoon
minimum relative humidity values will range between 30 to 40
percent in most zones tomorrow, with low to medium probabilities
to fall below 30 percent threshold in eastern fire districts this
afternoon. Limited fire weather concerns are ongoing today, due
to low humidity and light northerly winds, mainly east of
Interstate 55. With no appreciable rain chances in the near
future, fuel moisture will continue to decline but light winds
limit concerns for fire danger. Dense fog is not expected the next
few days but shallow patchy ground fog can`t be ruled out around
daybreak each day in low-lying and sheltered areas, especially
near river valleys.
