Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
611 AM CDT Tue Jul 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...No significant fog development is anticipated this
morning or Wednesday morning. High pressure surface and aloft will
remain dominant over the region through the weekend. This will
continue to limit rain chances and contribute higher temperatures.
An anomalously moist airmass will remain in place resulting in
high heat stress over the whole area today and Wednesday. A
disturbance in the northern Gulf may lead to rain chances in the
southeast Wednesday and Thursday bringing a little relief from the
heat there but elsewhere high heat and humidity look to continue
through the weekend.
