...The National Weather Service in Jackson MS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Arkansas...Mississippi...
Louisiana...

  Mississippi River Near Arkansas City affecting Desha, Washington,
  Chicot and Bolivar Counties.

  Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting Washington, Chicot,
  Issaquena and East Carroll Counties.

  Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Wilkinson, Adams and
  Concordia Counties.

  Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Claiborne, Jefferson,
  Tensas, Madison and Warren Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Arkansas City.

* WHEN...From Sunday, April 13 to Tuesday, April 22.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, The low silt plain in front of Arkansas
  City and Huntington Point, Mississippi is underwater. Several
  river access roads are also impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Sunday, April 13 and to a crest of 39.0 feet Friday, April
    18.
  - Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
