...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Jasper, Lauderdale, Newton, and Smith counties in
  Mississippi.

* WHEN...Through 6 PM.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen across the watch area since
    Tuesday. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are
    expected through late this afternoon, which could result in
    flash flooding.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Ashley and Chicot counties in Arkansas, Catahoula,
  Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Morehouse, Richland,
  Tensas and West Carroll parishes in Louisiana, and Adams, Attala,
  Carroll, Choctaw, Claiborne, Clay, Copiah, Grenada, Hinds, Holmes,
  Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Kemper, Leake, Leflore, Lowndes,
  Madison MS, Montgomery, Neshoba, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Rankin,
  Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Sunflower, Warren, Washington, Webster,
  Winston and Yazoo counties in Mississippi.

* WHEN...Through 6 PM.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are
  running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 1 to 4 inches of rain have fallen across the watch area since
    Tuesday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches
    are expected through late this afternoon, which could result
    in flash flooding.
