...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of central, east
central, south central, southeast, and southwest Mississippi,
including the following areas, in central Mississippi, Copiah,
Simpson and Smith. In east central Mississippi, Clarke and Jasper.
In south central Mississippi, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln and
Marion. In southeast Mississippi, Covington, Forrest, Jones and
Lamar. In southwest Mississippi, Adams, Claiborne, Franklin MS and
Jefferson.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat as remnants of
Francine move northward. Please continue to heed remaining road
closures.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest, and west
  central Mississippi, including the following counties, in central
  Mississippi, Holmes, Humphreys and Yazoo. In north central
  Mississippi, Carroll, Grenada, Leflore and Montgomery. In
  northwest Mississippi, Bolivar, Sunflower and Washington. In west
  central Mississippi, Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Tropical Depression Francine will bring rounds of heavy
    rainfall totaling of 1 to 3 additional, 3 to 6 inches storm
    total. This will lead to flash flooding especially in urban
    and poor drainage areas.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

  Mississippi, Attala, Choctaw, Hinds, Leake, Madison MS, Rankin and
  Scott. In east central Mississippi, Kemper, Lauderdale, Neshoba,
  Newton, Noxubee and Winston. In north central Mississippi,
  Webster. In northeast Mississippi, Clay, Lowndes and Oktibbeha.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

    totaling 2 to 3 additional, 3 to 6 inches storm total, with
    locally higher amounts. This will lead to flash flooding
    especially in urban and poor drainage areas.
