Through next Tuesday: Quiet and seasonable warm conditions will
prevail through much of the week as upper ridging continues to
dominate over the Lower Mississippi River Valley. Afternoon highs
will generally range from the mid 70s to lower 80s, with overnight
lows in the upper 40s and the 50s. Moisture will remain limited,
and dry weather is expected through at least Friday. By this
weekend, a weak shortwave will push into the area serving to
produce low chances for some light rainfall areawide. Looking
ahead to early next week, a strong cold front will move through
the region. With the passage of this front, a much colder airmass
will arrive, dropping high temperatures into the 50s and lows
potentially dipping into the lower 30s by mid-week. Some patchy
frost may be possible in the northern zones behind the front./KP/
