The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Elkhart County in north central Indiana...
  St. Joseph County in north central Indiana...
  Northwestern Kosciusko County in north central Indiana...
  Marshall County in north central Indiana...
  Cass County in southwestern Michigan...
  Berrien County in southwestern Michigan...

* Until 130 PM EDT.

* At 1234 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
  tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located
  along a line extending from 9 miles north of Beverly Shores to near
  La Porte to near Hamlet to near North Judson, moving east at 60
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornadoes and wind gusts in excess of 100 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Goshen, Warsaw, Niles, Benton
  Harbor, Plymouth, St. Joseph, Nappanee, Dowagiac, Bremen, Buchanan,
  Granger, Dunlap, Simonton Lake, Gulivoire Park, Benton Heights,
  Fair Plain, and Osceola.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 196 near mile marker 0.
 Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 62 and 104.
 Interstate 94 in Michigan between mile markers 1 and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
