...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to
  mid-line of lake....
  Michigan City IN to New Buffalo MI...
  New Buffalo MI to St Joseph MI...

At 1007 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Grand Haven Light to 9 nm
west of Saugatuck Pier Heads to 23 nm west of South Haven Light to 9
nm southeast of Waukegan Harbor, moving southeast at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
New Buffalo, Michigan City, and St. Joseph

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
