Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the Southern Great Lakes
National Weather Service Northern Indiana
429 AM EDT Tue Oct 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will move across the area today and be accompanied by
numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms. Ahead of the front,
increasing moisture and cloud cover will keep RH values above 60
percent and subsequently help limit fire weather issues. Much cooler
weather will follow behind the front with highs only in the 60s
Wednesday through Friday.
