...NWS Damage Survey for 04/02/2025 Tornado Event Update 6...

.Update...New Tornadoes for Madison and Delaware Counties

Additional damage surveys using reports, pictures, radar, and
drone footage from county officials have revealed two new tornado
paths, both just south of the previously identified main storm and
tornado path.

Survey Summary:
Weaker tornado tracked south of the main track tornado to the
north. Damage was sporadic and weak, suggesting tornado was not
on the ground this entire length. Drone footage also supports
this. Mostly trees being topped and roofing or siding damage with
less than 20 percent damage to structures. This also in area of
strong and large outflow area, so circulation and tornadic damage
masked to some degree.

Survey Summary:
Damage survey and data from local Emergency Management found a secondary
tornado occurred south of main tornado to the north. This tornado was
also sporadic with hit or miss damage along the path length. Likely an
embedded weak circulation within RFD but also associated with weak
circulation on radar.

EF2.....111 to 135 mph
