...Wintry Mix of Precipitation Tonight...

Rain will turn to snow during this evening over central IL. A brief
period of freezing rain and sleet will occur before the rain changes
to snow during this evening. The light snow should diminish during
overnight, lasting longest in eastern IL. Between a half and 1 inch
of snow is expected, with locally 1 to 2 inches possible especially
in east central IL. A light glaze of ice is also possible mainly
from Jacksonville to Bloomington southeast. Untreated roads will
become slippery tonight especially as temperatures drop below
freezing after dark.
