Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 12.16 miles Path Width /maximum/: 200 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 03/30/2025 Start Time: 01:22 PM CDT Start Location: 4 SSE Ivesdale / Champaign County / IL Start Lat/Lon: 39.8918 / -88.4244 End Date: 03/30/2025 End Time: 01:34 PM CDT End Location: 2 N Tolono / Champaign County / IL End Lat/Lon: 40.0122 / -88.2574 Survey Summary: The tornado began in southwest Champaign County just south of the intersection of County Rd 100 N and County Rd 200 E and traveled 12 miles to the northeast at 60 mph, ending just north of Tolono near U.S. Hwy 45. During its path it damaged mainly outbuildings and trees, with a few of the trees uprooted. The most significant damage was to an outbuilding just northwest of Tolono, where all four walls collapsed and the roof fell into the contents of the building, starting a fire on one of the gas tanks outside the building. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ Shimon
