Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
259 AM CST Sat Nov 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Winds will be light and variable for much of the day today, while
increasing cloud cover limits mixing heights, thus ventilation
will be poor. Rain chances increase from west to east beginning
mid-afternoon, with rain likely during the evening. Rain could mix
with or change to snow overnight, then scattered snow showers
could linger on Sunday. Well below normal temperatures are
forecast for Sunday and Monday. Breezy NW winds on Sunday, gusting
as high as 35 mph at times, will result in much better
ventilation.
