.DISCUSSION...
East transport winds will veer to southerly tonight and then to
westerly tomorrow as a disturbance passes through the region. This
system will bring freezing rain to areas mainly north of I-72, a mix
of rain and freezing rain south to I-70, and mostly rain further
south, though precipitation amounts appear light. The one exception
might be south of I-70 where a thunderstorm is possible (30% chance)
this evening.
West-northwest transport winds tomorrow increase to upwards of 20
kt, leading to fair ventilation given modest mixing heights. As high
pressure settles into the region Friday, winds will veer to
northeast and simultaneously ease, resulting in diminished
ventilation rates once again.
