.DISCUSSION...
Northwest winds will continue to gust sporadically over 30 mph
through this afternoon and nearly as high tomorrow afternoon,
making for good ventilation. Mixing heights will lower as a warm
advection pattern brings in a low level temperature inversion on
Tuesday. Winds late Tuesday morning through the afternoon are
forecast to gust over 30 mph again, which, combined with RH values
in the upper 20s to mid 30s, may make for marginal fire weather
conditions.
Isolated snow showers through tonight may drop the equivalent of
a few hundredths of an inch of liquid precipitation, though higher
amounts may fall over Champaign and Vermilion Counties if a lake
effect snowband manages to make it that far south. Thereafter, dry
conditions are forecast to prevail through at least Thursday and
most-likely Friday as well.
