.DISCUSSION...
Warm and mostly dry conditions continue through Friday, although
there is a low chance for showers south of I-70 on Thursday. A
weak front will remain draped across the area today, slowly
lifting northward. In general, winds are expected to be light
(less than 10 mph) today, but in areas north of I-72 winds are
more likely to be out of the east-northeast, while south of I-72
winds are more likely to be south- southwesterly. On Thursday, winds
will be southeasterly. Ventilation will be poor through Thursday
due to the light winds, but much windier conditions develop on
Friday, with gusts around 40 mph. A line of strong to severe
thunderstorms is expected late Friday evening. Windy conditions
continue on Saturday, with southwesterly winds gusting 35-50 mph.
