.DISCUSSION...
A cool front near the IL river early this morning, will push through
southeast IL during this afternoon. This may bring isolated showers and
thunderstorms to parts of east central and southeast IL this afternoon.
Otherwise dry and a bit cooler and less humid conditions will prevail
through Thursday night. Hot and humid conditions will return to the
Prairie State Friday through Monday, with next chances of showers and
thunderstorms arriving early next week. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph will
develop today as the front moves through, with light northeast winds on
Thursday. Poor ventilation rates will occur today through Friday due to
light winds and lower mixing heights.
