.DISCUSSION...
A low pressure system will move through central IL today, bringing
morning fog and waves of showers, which could be heavy at times
along and north of a roughly Macomb to Pontiac line. A cold front
moving north to south across the area this afternoon will bring a
shift in winds from southwesterly to northerly, with those north
winds gusting to around 30 mph for a few hours this evening. Winds
veer to southerly again by Saturday ahead of another frontal
system, gusting to 25 mph during the late afternoon and early
evening. Despite the breezy conditions, damp fuels and shallow
mixing heights will be unfavorable for burning.
