.DISCUSSION...
South winds will be light again today, generally less than 10 mph. Dry
conditions will continue across the area through at least Saturday morning.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible during mid to late Saturday
afternoon over the IL river valley. South to southwest winds will increase
to 10 to 15 mph by Saturday afternoon with gusts 18 to 25 mph west of
I-57. A cold front slowly moving into IL later this weekend, will bring a
chance of showers and thunderstorms to central and southeast IL Saturday
night through Monday. Fair vent rates are expected today, except poor in
eastern IL. Good to very good vent rates will prevail on Saturday with
stronger winds and higher mixing heights. Fair vent rates are expected on
Sunday.
