.DISCUSSION...
Another very warm and humid day will occur over central and southeast
IL today, as afternoon heat indices reach 95 to 105 degrees. Showers and
thunderstorms will diminish east of the IL river during early morning.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms will spread southeast across
central and southeast IL late this afternoon and evening, diminishing
during late evening and early overnight. Severe storms along with heavy
rains are again possible over the area. Quieter weather will return on
Friday into Saturday morning, with showers and thunderstorms likely again
Saturday night. Breezy southwest winds of 15-25 mph to occur today with
gusts 25-35 mph this afternoon. West northwest winds of 5-15 mph will
occur on Friday. Good to very good ventilation rates are expected today
with fair to good vent rates on Friday.
