...FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Warning is cancelled for portions of east central and
southeast Illinois, including the following areas, in east central
Illinois, Cumberland. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Crawford,
Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Clark County in east central Illinois.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
  many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 137 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported lingering
    flooding from recent heavy rain. Between 3 and 6 inches of
    rain fell from Wednesday through Sunday.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Marshall, Casey, Martinsville, Westfield, York, Darwin,
    Lincoln Trail State Park, Clarksville, West Union, Oliver,
    West York and Dennison.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
