EF0 tornado confirmed near Hume in Boone County, KY. Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.85 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 08/11/2026 Start Time: 03:51 PM EDT Start Location: 6 WSW Walton / Boone County / KY Start Lat/Lon: 38.8293 / -84.7138 End Date: 08/11/2026 End Time: 03:54 PM EDT End Location: 5 ENE Patriot / Boone County / KY End Lat/Lon: 38.8661 / -84.7349 Survey Summary: The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF0 tornado near Hume in Boone County, Kentucky. The first evidence of damage was on Webb Road, where a tree was downed on a trailer. Additionally, a residence and barn near the western edge of Webb Road both sustained some roof damage. Satellite imagery depicted tree damage along a path moving south- southeast from this location, with the most significant tree damage observed south of Mountain Ballpark. The narrow swath of tree damage extended about a mile south- southeast of US Route 42, where the tornado likely dissipated. Additional damage was observed in far southern Boone County on Brown Road, and in far western Gallatin County. Damage in these locations was determined to have been from straight-line winds of up to 70 MPH.
