1) Tranquil weather with a warming trend to start the week. A cold
front will then move through Wednesday night into Thursday.

.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1)
High pressure centered over the Great Lakes will gradually shift east
and off the coast by Tuesday. As this occurs, winds will slowly come
around to southerly. Until then, a dry airmass will remain in place
with just some diurnal cumulus. Temperatures will be warming with
each day as heights rise due to another expanding mid level high. It
will not get as hot as the past week, but temperatures are forecast
to get back into the lower 90s across most of the area by Wednesday.

The building heat will also be short lived. A short wave will track
from the northern Plains across the upper Great Lakes, pushing a
cold front into the area, possibly as early as the end of Wednesday,
but more likely Wednesday night into Thursday. This will bring the
next round of showers and thunderstorms, although forecast
instability looks to be modest at best. Cooler, drier air will
return for the end of the week.

.AVIATION /00Z MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
No major changes from the previous TAFs given the expectation of
persistent conditions through the period. Northeast winds will
weaken some this evening and into the overnight, but will increase
again into Monday, but from a more easterly direction.

While not an ideal direction, winds may be light enough for a bit of
shallow fog at KLUK right before 12Z.

OUTLOOK...Thunderstorms possible Wednesday night into Thursday.
