369 FXUS61 KILN 282331 AFDILN Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Wilmington OH 731 PM EDT Fri Aug 28 2026 .WHAT HAS CHANGED... No changes. && .KEY MESSAGES... 1) There will be an extended dry stretch with warming temperatures. && .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGE 1) Surface high pressure centered over the Great Lakes will move southeast through the weekend. Southerly flow will then become established early next week. Meanwhile, heights will be rising as mid level high pressure slowly translates east. This will result in dry conditions through at least Tuesday. Today is forecast to be the coolest day with temperatures slightly below normal. There will then be a warming trend with increasing dew points. Highs will get back into the lower 90s next week and heat indices will rise into the mid to upper 90s. && .AVIATION /00Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... Large area of surface high pressure will remain centered to our east thru the TAF period. VFR cumulus clouds will continue to dissipate with the loss of heating - leading to clear skies and light winds. Development of valley fog is likely tonight with IFR conditions forecast at KLUK and MVFR at KILN. Expect VFR cumulus cloud development Saturday with less coverage than today.
