...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BLADEN AND NORTH
CENTRAL COLUMBUS COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 258 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Abbottsburg to near Southeastern Community
College to near Whiteville. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Whiteville, Elizabethtown, Lake Waccamaw, Hallsboro, Abbottsburg,
Lisbon, Redbug, Elkton, Emerson, Southeastern Community College,
Brunswick, Clarkton, Columbus Regional Healthcare System, and Bladen
County Hospital.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
