Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 820 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Figure Eight Island to 26 nm east of Wr2, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.
