* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...

* Until 215 AM EST.

* At 111 AM EST, a strong thunderstorm was located near 10 Mile
  Rocks, moving northeast at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  10 Mile Boxcars, Liberty Ship, Dallas Rock, Billy Murrell Reef,
  Johnny Mercer Pier, Masonboro Sea Buoy, Harris Reef, 10 Mile Rocks,
  Kure Beach Point, Topsail Beach, Buoy Off Carolina Beach, Topsail
  Boxcars, Topsail Tire Reef, Figure Eight Island, Rich Inlet, Dredge
  Wreck, 5 Mile Boxcars, and Surf City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
