The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20
  to 60 NM...

* Until 145 AM EDT.

* At 1252 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Horseshoe
  Area, moving southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  2 C R Ledge, Vermillion Reef, City Of Richmond, Inshore Hole,
  Parking Lot Area, C J Davidson Wreck, Greenville Reef, Horseshoe
  Area, Horseshoe Reef, and Wayne Upchurch Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
