...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE COASTAL AND OFFSHORE WATERS
EAST OF WINYAH BAY...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20
  nm...
  Waters from Murrells Inlet NC to South Santee River SC from 20 to
  40 nm...

At 1141 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near South Santee River Entrance
to 12 nm southwest of Greenville Reef, moving east at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
2 C R Ledge, Winyah Bay Sea Buoy, Vermillion Reef, City Of Richmond,
Inshore Hole, East Bank Buoy, C J Davidson Wreck, Greenville Reef,
Horseshoe Area, and Wayne Upchurch Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. If caught on the open water, prepare
for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
