Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
857 AM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Low pressure will shift increasingly offshore today with gusty
winds subsiding this morning. Note that the coastal counties of
Cape Fear may observe a burst of gusty winds in the 25-30 kt
range within the first few hours of sunrise as remnant strong low-
level winds are mixed down, but these gusts will gradually
subside from late morning through this afternoon. Warm and dry
conditions will continue through the end of the week under weak
high pressure. Another storm system is expected to affect the
region this upcoming weekend.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is None.
