Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
213 AM EDT Sun Aug 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
A weak ridge of high pressure over the inland Carolinas will shift
towards the coast today. Tropical Cyclone Erin should remain
offshore as it pushes northward between Bermuda and the U.S. East
Coast during the mid-week period. A cold front late this week
should bring a return of higher rain chances.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Low.
