Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
305 AM EDT Thu Aug 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Today will observe scattered to numerous showers and
thunderstorms as a disturbance aloft interacts with a well juiced
(High CAPE) atmosphere. Various surface boundaries will provide
additional lift which may result in training of storms. This
scenario will play out again on Fri/Sat, to a lesser degree in
terms of rainfall amounts as drier air slowly infiltrates the
region later this weekend after a CFP Sat. Dry conditions slated
for early next week as Hurricane Erin likely passes by, well
offshore.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
