Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
201 PM EDT Sun Aug 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
A weak ridge of high pressure over the inland Carolinas will shift
towards the coast as another area of high pressure builds down
from the north behind a weak cold front. Tropical Cyclone Erin
should remain offshore as it pushes northward between Bermuda and
the U.S. East Coast during the midweek period. A cold front late
this week should bring a return of higher rain chances.

Fog potential for tonight is Low.
